A little later we all met again in the fine dining-room.
At the head of the table was the Captain.
The children sat along both sides.    The other lower end was taken by
a middle-aged lady.  I sat at her left, the baby at her right.

しばらくして、私たちは、素敵なダイニングルームで
再会しました。テーブルの上座は大佐の席です。子供たちは
両サイドの席に並びます。 大佐と反対側の下座の席には
中年のご婦人が座ります。 私は彼女の左に座ります。
彼女の右は赤ちゃんの席でした。
